Tour One
Jerusalem and the Jordan Valley
Photography Workshop:
Jerusalem, Jordan Valley, Jericho, Dead Sea
Focus: Travel, Street and documentary photography, landscape and architecture
5 Full Days
Base: Jerusalem
Cost: $1,500 per/person
min: 2

This is the most intense of our tours. Each day is full and you will not be spending much time in your hotel but to sleep. We do pace the tours as needed and are flexible on the sites and intensity that you want to remain in one area. Nothing is set in stone, we want you to get the best from your experience and walk away with a memory of a lifetime! The schedule are "guidelines" for each tour.
You will be based in Jerusalem. We will wander the old city streets, the four quarters, visit the kotel (wailing wall) walk through the vibrant Damascus gate, get some view of the famous security wall and wander through the Jordan Valley then to Jericho, the oldest city in the world. Jerusalem is unlike any other city in the world. It is well worth spending time in the city and absorbing its ancient history while capturing the most amazing images you can imagine! Israel's culture, landscape and history is something to behold and with a camera you will see Israel in a different way than the common tourist. You will be taken in ally ways, stop for the best hummus, meet and talk with those who live there. You can touch the stops at the Via Dorolosa, kiss the stone where they say that Jesus laid in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. You can plant a pray at the Kotel, and help find the walls that tumbled down in Jericho. This tour is packed but we take the steps at a slow pace so we can stop and take awesome images. Because it is focused on photography, we cover a lot of ground but we pace the tour so you will not become tired and you will be able to really enjoy the surroundings!
Day 1: You will become acquainted with the old city of Jerusalem. We will explore the Christian quarter and the Jewish quarter in the old city. We will not be taking any breaks except for lunch and stopping for a cup of wonderful tea. You will rise early in the morning and arrive back to your hotel after sundown.
Day 2: You will visit the Muslim quarter and the Armenian quarter. In the evening you will wonder outside the city walls around sunset to capture a glimpse of the glory of the ancient walls.
Day 3: We will head off through the Jordan Valley winding through the vast roads to Jericho and arrive back to the hotel later in the evening.
Day 4: You will head off to the Negev desert to the dead sea and view the landscape of where Moses wondered the vast desert.
Day 5: We will take one last look at Jerusalem inside the city walls, and view the famous Security wall, just outside of Bethlehem. The last day will be the most flexible, and together we can decide what has been missed or what we need to spend more time taking images of!
Tour Three
Israel Christian Photography Workshop:
Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Sea of Galilee
Focus: Street and Documentary photography, travel, architecture, story telling
5 Full Days
Base: Jerusalem
Cost: $1,500 per person
min: 2
max: 8
As mentioned in the previous tour, the schedule is a "guideline" we design the tours to meet your needs, so if you want to spend longer in a certain place, then we can. You will be based in Jerusalem and from there we will walk in Jesus's footsteps along the Christian quarters, visit the other quarters in the old city while visiting place of christian importance. All your days will be full, with short break times for food and review. We will walk the Via Doloroso to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre along the way you will learn history, archeological tid-bits and smell the spices in the air of this part of the city.
This tour, will be prayerful, with a time to use your camera and to reflect your inner thoughts through the image.
Day 1: You will get to know the streets of the old city in Jerusalem. Visit some of the oldest churches, and walk on the Via Dolorosa. (Way of Suffering)

Tour Four:
Photojournalism/Israel
There are stories everywhere you go. In Israel we can find many stories and event to share with the world. For this workshop, we will venture out into the towns to find our stories. We will talk to the locals, and go to demonstrations, to create many photo stories. We will be based in Jerusalem and venture from there. Where we go will depend on what is happening at the time we are there. This workshop is focused on photojournalism and telling stories through your lens. This is not intended as a political workshop. You will learn about ethics, the law, how to be culturally sensitive, developing your story, how to interview, gain contacts, censorship, journalism, and areas of dispute in journalism. When you are finished with this workshop, you will be able to go into your own place in the world and develop your own stories to inform others about concerns and issues in your community.
Susan has spent 10 years living in Israel and knows most of the places like the back of her hand. If there are other places or tours that you would like to do, please send her an email for your suggestions. We also accept larger group bookings, we can help to arrange buses, hotel stays for the group, food and arrange for the places that the group would want to visit.

Amazing Blog! This is really an interesting and joyful blog. I really liked to way of describing, exploring Jerusalem’s Old City streets . A common person can easily understand different location of Jerusalem, which help him tour to Jerusalem. Thank you very much giving such kind of information with us.
Thanks Amit. It is such a beautiful city! It is my pleasure to be able to share it with others!
